The Stark Museum of Art is delighted to invite you and your family to the opening night of the exhibition "Childhood Classics: 100 Years of Original Illustration from the Art Kandy Collection!" Admission is FREE!  💛

Exhibition info:
Visitors to the exhibition will be enchanted as they encounter illustrations from beloved children’s books, including original artworks from Dr. Seuss, Maurice Sendak’s Wild Things and Garth Williams’ Stuart Little, alongside contributions from classic illustrators such as Rosemary Wells, Richard Scarry, Arnold Lobel and Hilary Knight. Characters like Babar, Eloise and The Cat in the Hat come to life in this whimsical exploration of children’s literature history. The Stark Museum of Art is pleased to have exclusive special additions to the exhibition from "The Poky Little Puppy" and "The Silver Dollar" by Orange’s best-selling author Janette Sebring Lowrey from The Kerlan Collection of Children’s Literature at The University of Minnesota.

Childhood Classics: 100 Years of Original Illustration from the Art Kandy Collection was curated and organized by Lee Cohen and Lois Sarkisian in association with Landau Traveling Exhibitions.
