Devil's Playground
Chocolate Peanut Wine
Established as Neutral Ground in 1806 after years of border feuds between Spain and the US, western Louisiana and southeast Texas beckoned to outlaws and pioneers alike. Located between the Neches and the Calcasieu Rivers, and bordered to the north by the Red, this lawless haven harbored a diverse group of both exiles and adventurers, thus dubbed the Devil's Playground.
With our estate-grown Noble Muscadine grown in the Devil's Playground, we showcase the bright cranberry, apple, and lime flavors of black muscadine, smoothed out by banana and honeydew tones. Then we layer in complex flavors of velvety chocolate and rich peanut.
Pair with classic Southern comfort food like ribs, pork chops, and other fatty meats or contrast the nutty taste with spicy, sweet Chinese dishes.
